Bruce Hennge

bruce-transBruce is a recently retired high school science teacher. Teaching in the Southwest Florida school system for 30 years, he’s learned a trick or two about edutainment (educational entertainment). His specialty is environmental sciences. As a volunteer for the Ostego Bay Marine Science Center in Fort Myers Beach, he continues to teach young minds the wonders of our dynamic Everglades habitat. His articulate and soft-spoken manner, coupled with incredible knowledge, is truly an experience to be remembered.

Dwight Locke

dwight-transDwight is an avid outdoorsman, fisherman, and naturalist. Originally from Alabama, he moved to southwest Florida as a young boy and is very knowledgeable about the rich ecosystems, wildlife, and history of the area.

Dwight constructed his first canoe by age 9 and spends much of his free time studying the local wildlife and ecosystems of the area. He is currently furthering his education by pursuing his certification as a certified Florida Master Naturalist. Dwight’s passion for the Everglades and great sense of humor is sure to provide a memorable family fun experience

Cristina Denegre

cristina-transCristina is originally from Jacksonville, FL. She grew up in a house full of reptiles including boas and pythons and has always had a passion for wildlife and biology. She has a bachelor of science degree in Biology from the University of North FL, and worked for local and state govt. agencies as an environmental specialist for a total of 9 yrs.

Cristina began guiding in 2004 and is currently obtaining her certification as a Florida Master Naturalist. She is a wealth of knowledge about the cultural history, wildlife, and environment and makes for a fun and insightful experience!
